think about it, girls

I am beginning to type with pretty much no clarity but I feel there are some things i really wish to share with people who identify as women and happen to be fairly young. i hope this reaches out to you. i hope i get to connect with you through this.

hi. so, guess you’re enjoying being yourself (mostly). and if you’re currently in India, especially at a place hit by the newest COVID-19 wave, the world is keeping us in their honest prayers, i can tell you that.

now, not that i’m a fan of sharing personal matters, let me try doing it. that’s the context of what’s coming ahead. or wait, let me just try and put as clearly. that will sound better. you’re not too free to be reading about others’ experiences. you shouldn’t be that kind of free, I mean.

you should be busy. you better be busy. you must have had some dreams and some ideas, right? you should be working for them. whatever it is that your aspirations require you to do, you do it. this is basically ~38% of all instagram and facebook wisdom combined so you know already.

please don’t accept the way life keeps happening. do look out for energies wanting to guide you. seek to pave a way exclusive to you. saying this because women tend to merge their professional goals with their partners’ professional goals. unconsciously, I would do that as well. let me rephrase: women, mostly, tend to forget their professional plans and then, all their creativity apparently just goes out of the window in a jiffy.

also, thanks to gender based roles we have had defined throughout, we will be great with common chores of all kind. we love it or hate it. the cooking, the cleaning, dishes, clothes, setting closets. we will be okay doing our fair share of it because it’s what humans need. We need to feed ourselves so we should know how to cook and we will do that. but make sure that’s not all you do for all your life. that’d be monotonous and that is sad, right.

it is now time that every human is expected to learn these skills with an attitude of “duh, obviously, I can”, for those whose bodies and minds support them in doing so.

last: just have your thing, ladies. a plan for you, made by you. let it clash with whosoever’s plans. you want to have goals, trust me. they can be huge goals. they can be simple baby-step goals. just don’t get up and have the same goddamn agenda for all the days all your life. unless that’s going to make you happy for real. and if you think it does, you want to reconsider. i promise you want to think that happiness through.

learning is great. being curious is even better.

Exactly being curious about something makes one person go off limits and gather all the info related to that topic and hence makes learning new things more fun and easy 🙌🏻
